CM’s wife leads Sabati members to visit SK Batu Bungan’s fire victim

KUCHING, July 30: Association of Wives of Ministers and Assistant Ministers Sarawak (Sabati) head Datin Patinggi Dato Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang led a delegation to visit one of the victims of the recent fire that broke out at SK Batu Bungan teachers’ quarters.

Juma’ani, who is Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg’s wife, also gave a cash donation to Cikgu Nur Syuhada Azhari at the Sarawak General Hospital, and it was received by Nur Syuhada’s husband, Rohaizad Abdul Rahim.

The tragedy on July 25 in Mulu killed teacher Catherine Janet Tiwi, 25, while Nur Syuhada and another teacher suffered burns.

Juma’ani, who was accompanied by Datin Sri Loreta Sawot, said she was “saddened” with Nur Syuhada’s condition but believed she had a good chance of recovering.

Juma’ani spent about 30 minutes with Nur Syuhada and her family.

Also present were Datin Dr Zaliha Christine Abdullah, Siti Shorgayah Ahmad Zaidin and Nora Ashikin Ibrahim. — DayakDaily
