CMCO in Sibu extended 14 days until May 10, essential services list updated

KUCHING, April 26: Sibu’s Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) with special restrictions has been extended for 14 days until May 10.

Sibu Disaster Management Committee (Sibu DDMC) which announced this in a statement today, also revealed an updated list of essential services which are allowed to operate at half employee capacity.

The list comprises six categories namely manufacturing, construction, distribution trade, plantations and commodities, services and others, convering 42 sectors in total.

The list of services allowed to operate with 50 per cent capacity in Sibu from April 26 to May 10 is as below:

Manufacturing:
1. Aerospace (components and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO))
2. Automotive (vehicles and components)
3. Food, drinks and its chains
4. Packaging and printing
5. Household products, personal care items (soap, personal cleaners, etc.) and detergents including its chains
6. Health and medical care including dietary supplements
7. Personal protective equipment (PPE) and fire safety equipment
8. Components for medical devices
9. Electrical and electronics
10. Oil and Gas
11. Petrochemicals and petrochemical products
12. Chemical products
13. Machinery and equipment
14. Ceramics (ceramics as molds for the manufacture of gloves)
15. Iron and steel
16. Textiles involving the production of PPE only
17. Furniture sector
18. Production, distillation, storage, supply and distribution of fuels and lubricants

Construction:
19. Construction
i. Critical maintenance and repair works
ii. Major public infrastructure construction works
iii. Building construction works that provide complete employee accommodation on a construction site or workers housed in the Centralized Workers Quarters (CLQ)

Distribution Trade:
20. Warehousing and Logistics
21. Food and Beverage Services/ Sales/ Delivery
22. Retail/ Distribution/ Wholesale/ Hardware Store

Plantations and Commodities:
23. Agriculture, fisheries and livestock and their chains
24. Plantations and commodities and their chains

Services:
25. Automotive (Repair and Maintenance Only)
26. Financial Services and its chains
i. Financial Institutions (Banking, Insurance, Takaful and other entities licensed, approved or registered by the Bank Negara Malaysia)
ii. Entities are capital market entities licensed, registered or regulated by the Securities Commission Malaysia
27. Municipal and local government services
i. Community credit / mortgages (licensed money lender companies)
ii. Sewerage/ solid waste management
iii. Public cleaning
iv. Cleaning of Premises and sanitation
28. Communications include telecommunications and the internet, post and courier, and broadcasting
29. Information technology includes global business services and call centers
30. E-Commerce and its chains include e marketplace services, digital payments and local e-commerce internet centers
31. Digital creative content development in the studio includes film editing
32. Hotels and lodging
33. Security Control Services (Security Services)
34. Security and Defense
35. Agriculture, fisheries and livestock sectors including veterinary services
i. Farm management/ swiftlet nest/ horse/ animal processing plant/ abattoir (slaughterhouse / livestock/ factory animal feed/suppliers such as vaccines/ livestock management/pet shops (livestock transfer operation is at night)
ii. Disease control and regulated production of live livestock, livestock inputs and industrial related products livestock (including exports and imports)
iii. Health management, disease diagnosis and treatment of animals
36. Utilities (water and energy)
37. Professional (including accountant/ lawyer/ auditor/ engineer/ architect), scientific (including R&D) and technical services (including maintenance)
38. Judicial and legal services
39. Transport by land, water and air
40. Services and operations of ports, shipyards and airports, including unloading and transferring cargo, piloting, storage or stockpiling of commodities

Others
41. Shipbuilding and repair sector
42. Logging and timber sector
