KUCHING, July 20: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg performed Aidiladha prayers at Masjid Jamek here today.
According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the sunnah (supererogatory) prayers took place at 8.15am and was led by State Imam Besar Dato Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi.
Guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOP) were also followed during the prayers to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Accompanying the Chief Minister were Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Deputy State Secretary (Socio-Economic Transformation) Dato Sri Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and several other dignitaries. — DayakDaily
