S’wakian woman found dead in Selangor, civil servant arrested to assist in investigation

KUALA LUMPUR, July 16: Police have arrested a civil servant to assist in the investigation of the death of 25-year-old Sarawakian Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah.

In a news report by TVS, Selangor police chief Datuk Hussien Omar Khan said that the victim was reported missing last Wednesday (July 10) and was found dead at a palm oil plantation in Kampung Sri Kledang, Hulu Selangor, at 6pm yesterday (July 15).

“A 26-year-old local man was arrested,” he said, adding that the case will be investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

The victim, who was working at a car rental company at Tanjung Malim, was reported missing after delivering a rental car to a customer on July 10.

Nur Farah Kartini, who was a former student at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), was last seen wearing blue corporate attire, a headscarf, and black slacks. — DayakDaily
