KUCHING, Feb 21: The Citrawarna Keluarga Malaysia programme in Kuching will proceed with new standard operating procedures (SOPs) in place in addition to the existing ones.
Federal Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri said that despite the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases, the ministry needs to proceed with the programme to help the economic sector affected the pandemic.
“We are also mindful of the concerns from the Sarawak government because this is the first time the programme is organised not only in Sarawak, but the whole country.
“That is why we decided to tighten the SOPs for the programme,” she said during a press conference held at Kuching International Airport (KIA) VIP Terminal today.
Nancy noted that the National Security Council (NSC) will be holding a meeting tomorrow to discuss about the SOPs.
She added the existing SOPs would also be implemented, and the new one will be announced by NSC and the Ministry of Health (MOH) tomorrow.
The Citrawarna Keluarga Malaysia programme will be held from Feb 24 until Feb 27 at the Kuching Waterfront.
