CIMB has RM7 billion loans for Sarawak so far, looks to expand more in the future

KUCHING, Jan 22: CIMB Group Holdings Berhad (CIMB) currently has RM7 billion loans extended to Sarawak and is looking to expand this in the future.

According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), CIMB chief executive officer Dato Abdul Rahman Ahmad said the matter has been discussed with Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg during a courtesy call to his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia today.

He added that CIMB is optimistic to work together with Sarawak government to make the matter a reality.

Meanwhile, apart from CIMB, Abang Johari also received a courtesy visit from Bintulu Port delegation led by Bintulu Port chairman Datuk Sharkawi Alis. – DayakDaily
