Chinese university, PPKS explore avenues for collaboration

KUCHING, May 27: A delegation from Ludong University, China, visited the International College of Advanced Technology Sarawak (i-CATS), a subsidiary of Pusat Pembangunan Kemahiran Sarawak (PPKS) here recently.

The delegates were welcomed by PPKS executive director, Hallman Sabri, and i-CATS chief executive officer Mohamad Isham Fauzi.

In a statement today, Hallman said the visit was in line with PPKS’s commitment to advancement in the Industry 4.0 and digital economy agenda.


During the visit, both parties explored opportunities for collaboration in areas such as Smart Agriculture, Student Exchange programmes, articulation programmes and internship opportunities for students in China and Malaysia.

Leading the delegation were Ludong University vice-president Wu Jun, International Exchange and Cooperation Office (Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office) director Professor Zhang Deqiang, Scientific Achievement Transfer Service Office (Local Affairs Service Office) director Li Zhida, and International Exchange and Cooperation (Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office)-cum-International Programmes Office chief Du Sen.

The visit was arranged by Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) councillors Jong Tien Kiong and Amy Tnay. — DayakDaily
