KUCHING, Sept 1: China’s win-win cooperation with Malaysia has become an important aspect of bilateral relations along with cultural exchange initiatives.
Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah highlighted this when launching the first Rasa Event–Malaysia Festival by Maycham, China Global Business Magazine and Talent Beyond Borders in Beijing, China today.
“This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Malaysia, and next year will mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
“China and Malaysia have always maintained cultural exchanges, and both sides have actively innovated exchange formats and built exchange platforms, achieving important results in multiple fields,” he said in a media release today.
Abdul Karim also noted that in recent years, cultural exchanges between China and Malaysia have been constantly strengthened.
He emphasised that the Rasa Event–Malaysia Festival is a testament to this as it serves as a platform for both countries to share cultures, learn from each other, foster harmony, promote exploration and build stronger ties.
“In addition, this event also envisaged a future where our nations continue to grow stronger together, culturally, economically, and socially,” he added.
