KUCHING, Oct 15: Children below the age of 18 travelling to Sarawak accompanied by their fully vaccinated parents or guardians are exempted from the 10-day Home Surveillance Order (HSO).
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its latest update on the EnterSarawak Guidelines dated Oct 5, said however, those who are travelling alone are subjected to the requirement if they have yet to complete their vaccination schedule.
Similar to any applicant who wishes to enter Sarawak, children aged below 18 are also required to submit the necessary documents which includes a negative Covid-19 rt-PCR or RTK Antigen test result, digital certificate of complete vaccination (if available), the flight itinerary, a copy of their identity card as well as completing the e-Health Declaration form (eHDF).
“Upon arrival, applicants with incomplete vaccination will have to undergo 10-day quarantine in designated places while exemption is given to those who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19,” the Committee said.
Starting Oct 6, a police permit is no longer required for inter-division travelling.
For post Covid-19 patients, they are required to get a medical letter from registered medical facilities or practitioners as an additional requirement before entering the State.
The quarantine cost for a Sarawakian applicant or an applicant married to a Sarawakian will be borne by the State government. — DayakDaily
