MIRI, Dec 8: The construction works to extend the kitchen building of the Che Sing Khor Moral Uplifting Society at Jalan Jee Foh Utama here commenced today.
The earth breaking ceremony to mark the commencement was officiated by (Tuesday morning) by Assistant Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture who is also Piasau Assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting.
Also present were Miri Mayor Adam Yii and Che Sing Khor’s president, Ting Ho Hin.
The extension was made possible under a RM100,000 allocation approved under Piasau’s Rural Transformation Project (RTP) and expected to be completed in three months time.
“The extension building is meant to cater for the daily cooking routines, offers more space for the association members when they carry out their events or programmes because the present building a bit crowded,” said Ting.
On another note, Ting said he always ensure that no community in his constituency would be sidelined in term of grant allocation. — DayakDaily
