Catholic churches in Bau receive Unifor grants totalling RM650,000

KUCHING, June 25: St Lucas Kampung Jagoi Duyoh and St Agnes Tsaou, both Catholic churches in Bau, have received grants amounting to RM500,000 and RM150,000 respectively from Unit for Other Religions (Unifor).

Cheques for the two grants were handed over by Deputy Minister for Transport (Maritime and Riverine) Dato Henry Harry Jinep to the respective church committee leaders on Sunday (June 23) on two separate occasions.

According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Harry in his speech expressed hope that the grants would be used wisely to improve church facilities for the well-being of local worshippers. — DayakDaily
