Miri, June 21: The Miri Traffic Police are currently investigating an incident where a car crashed into the gate and concrete wall of a house at Lorong Jati 1B, Jalan Jati, Senadin, at around 10am on Wednesday (June 19).
In a statement, Miri district police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed that a report was received on the incident involving a silver Toyota Vios driven by a 19-year-old man.
“According to initial investigations, the driver attempted to avoid a vehicle in front of him, which led to the car veering off-course and colliding with the concrete wall and iron fence of the house,” he said, adding that no injuries or casualties were reported.
A CCTV captured footage of the incident, which has gone viral on social media since Wednesday.
The collision caused damage to the Toyota Vios and affected a Perodua Myvi parked at the homeowner’s property, which sustained damage as well.
In response to the incident, the police have opened an investigation paper, and the case is being handled under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959.
