KUCHING, June 29: A sales executive of a bridal boutique claimed trial to six charges of criminal breach of trust of RM1,250 before two Sessions Court judges here today.
Lee Chin Ngee, 23, pleaded not guilty to all six charges framed under Section 408 of the Penal Code.
Sessions Court judges Afidah Abdul Rahman and Maris Agan fixed July 29, 2022 for pre-trial case management and released the accused on RM3,000 bail with one local surety.
The accused was charged with committing criminal breach of trust by uploading and selling photographs without depositing the money she had received from customers into her employer’s account and not providing receipts to customers, between March 23 to December 9, 2021.
The money received from different customers amounted to RM1,250. The company had suffered a total loss of approximately RM50,000.
The accused was charged under Section 408 of the Penal Code which carries an imprisonment term of between one to 14 years and with whipping and liable to fine, upon conviction.
