SIBU, Nov 1: Sarawak Tourism Board (STB), in collaboration with Sarawak Tourism Federation (STF), Association of Sarawak Inbound Agencies (ASIA) and Shopee Malaysia is offering yearend getaways under the new “Jom Ke Sarawak” (JKS) interstate campaign to mark the reopening of interstate travel.

STB chief executive officer Sharzede Salleh Askor in a statement said the campaign offers 16 exhilarating tour packages to Sarawak’s southern, central and northern regions exclusively on Shopee Malaysia starting as low as RM176 for a three-day-two-night stay.

“The Kuching tour packages offer travellers a feel of Sarawak’s diversity, whether it’s a visit to our award-winning living museum like our Sarawak Cultural Village, or a chance to get acquainted with orang utans at Semenggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Meanwhile, travellers to Sibu will discover the many hidden wonders of Sarawak’s countryside in the central region, namely in Bintangor, Sarikei, Dalat and Mukah,” she said.

For nature and adventure lovers, the Miri tour packages will let one explore Sarawak’s iconic Gunung Mulu National Park, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Niah National Park, plus the opportunity to enjoy the serenity of the Bario Highlands.

“We invite travellers to take advantage of the return flights into Mulu via MASwings, whether you’re coming in from Kota Kinabalu, Miri, or Kuching,” she said.

Sharzede believed that JKS campaign comes as a golden opportunity for travellers to rediscover Sarawak at its full potential at a discounted price.

“After what could be described as a tough year, it is finally the right time to reset, refresh and rejuvenate this year end. Sarawak has a lot to offer, varying from adventure to leisure, recreation, gastronomy, heritage, and culture making it the right choice for your next vacation plan,” Sharzede said.

Bookings can be made from October 15 to December 5 through Shopee Malaysia’s platform and the travel period starts from October 15th until December 15th, 2021.
