KUCHING, Dec 17: A man who was working on a sand dredging boat was reported to have gone missing along Batang Lebaan, Sibu as early as Sunday morning.
The sailor was identified as Venkatesh Sumanth, 21. According to his colleagues, the last time he was seen on the boat was on Saturday night (Dec 14) at 10pm.
Fire and Rescue department (Bomba) was dispatched in search of the missing person after receiving the report on Tuesday morning (Dec 17) from the captain of the vessel he was working on.
The search is still on-going and the rescue team is being led by PB Rambor Udam. —DayakDaily
