MIRI, April 28: A house owner in Taman Jelita Avenue, Jalan Lada here grew curious after hearing a dog barking non-stop for nearly 10 minutes on Sunday morning.
To his surprise, the source was a local breed stray female dog stuck between the rails of his house gate.
Worried for the dog’s safety, he immediately called the Miri Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) for assistance.
It was not immediately known how the dog ended up in its predicament.
Eight firefighters led by Abang Muhd Fahzil who had just completed an earlier mission helping an injured Filipino man involved in a self-accident near Taman Awam Miri were diverted to the scene at 10.25am.
Despite the heavy rain, it took them less than 20 minutes to help release the dog. ā DayakDaily
