KUCHING, July 27: A 33-year-old man lost his life after his motorcycle crashed into a car at KM6, Serian-Kuching Road on Sunday evening.
The police were alerted to incident at 6.30pm and deployed a team to the scene.
According to State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the deceased was heading towards Kuching from Serian when the incident happened.
“After the car later moved into the left lane at Loo Foo Junction for approximately 100 meters, the deceased collided into the car from behind, causing him to suffer serious injuries,” Alexson revealed.
The deceased received serious injuries to his head and was pronounced dead at the scene. The car driver was unhurt.
The deceased’s body was later sent to Serian Hospital. The case will be investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
