KOTA SAMARAHAN, March 30: Firefighters from the Samarahan station conducted decontamination operations at two public venues today, where there were cases of positive Covid-19.
According to Sarawak Fire and Rescue department assistant director (operations) Tiong Ling Hii, a team of eight firefighters including its Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) team were deployed to the venues upon receiving the request from the District Disaster Committee.
The operations were carried out at the Good News Fellowship Church and SMK Kota Samarahan.
Local council also assisted by providing fogging machines, with its own personnel conducting the operations at outdoor areas.
The operations began at 2.30pm and ended at 6pm. — DayakDaily
