According to Miri zone fire chief Supt Law Poh Kiong in a statement today, the aid was flown to five areas in the district using a Bomba helicopter (9M-BOF) which took off from Marudi at 10.29am.

“Due to the recent high tide and strong river currents, they were cut off from basic supplies,” he said.

He added, among the areas that are affected by flood are Kampung Batu Bungan, Kampung Melinau Mulu, Mulu Sub-District Office, SK Batu Bungan, and Mulu Health Clinic. — DayakDaily
