KUCHING, June 15: The second fisherman who was reported missing on June 13 was found dead this morning at Sg Bako, Tg Jerijih, Belawai.
The deceased was reported missing together with another fisherman after they failed to return following a fishing trip as part of a fleet of boats. The victims’ friends failed to locate the missing fishermen and had contacted the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) and police for help to search.
The first fisherman was found dead by villagers yesterday morning.
According to a Bomba report, the second victim was found this morning in the river at 8.30am and the body was later brought to shore. The deceased’s brother later identified the body as belonging to the second missing fisherman.
The search and rescue operation was ended at 10am. — DayakDaily
