KUCHING, April 20: A senior citizen who was reported missing last Saturday was found dead at Sungai Mamat near the Kuching-Serian road this afternoon.
The deceased who was in his 70s, was reported missing by his son on Saturday (March 18) when the deceased failed to return home that afternoon.
A search and rescue (SAR) operation was launched by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) after they were alerted to the disappearance.
According to the Bomba report, the man’s body was found 2.68 kilometers away from the Bomba control post and the identity of the deceased has been confirmed by family members.
The remains were later handed over to the police. — DayakDaily
