BINTANGOR, Feb 17: The body of a man was discovered floating near Sungai Sian Ferry Point here yesterday.
DSP Sekam Anoi, the Meradong district police chief, reported that the body was found by a worker at approximately 10am.
“A police team promptly arrived at the scene to identify the body, as it may belong to a man who was reported missing in Sibu,” stated DSP Sekam.
He further noted that due to the decomposed state of the body, a DNA test would be necessary.
“We urge the public not to speculate on the case as investigations are ongoing,” DSP Sekam advised. — DayakDaily
