Body of foreign man found in Sepupok plantation, police launch manhunt

MIRI, July 31: The body of a foreign man was discovered on the night of July 29 inside a private plantation in Sepupok, Niah, prompting an immediate manhunt for the suspect.

Miri Police Chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed the discovery.

The deceased, believed to be in his 40s, was found around 8pm.

Initial investigations suggest the victim was shot and killed using a shotgun, as evidenced by wounds on his neck, face, body, and stomach.

Authorities are actively seeking suspects and witnesses to the incident and are gathering evidence to aid the investigation.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
