Body of Constable Nicholester flown back to Sarawak

KUCHING, Nov 2: The body of Sibu-born Constable Nicholester Dadup Unggat, 20, who was killed while on duty is on its way to his hometown today.

According to Sibu police chief ACP Stanley Ringgit, the cargo flight carrying the deceased will arrive at Kuching Airport at 3.20pm.

“Thereafter, (the body will be) transferred to a police aircraft and expected to land at Sibu Airport at 5pm.

“My fellow officers and I will be there to receive the body, thereon proceeding to his house for the wake,” Stanley told DayakDaily.

Yesterday morning at about 5am, Nicholester was killed in a road accident while in pursuit of two suspected criminals who were fleeing from him and his colleague Lance Corporal Mohammad Fadhirul Musa, 32, at Jalan Kangkar Tebrau/Jalan Tun Teja, Johor Bahru.

Their patrol car crashed into a SUV and overturned. Johor police chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay confirmed that Nicholester was killed on the spot while Mohd Fadhirul who survived the accident, sustained injury. — DayakDaily
