Bintulu-Jepak Bridge project at 82 pct completion, expected to finish by Feb 2025

BINTULU, July 23: Construction on the Bintulu-Jepak Bridge project is now 82 per cent completed and is progressing according to schedule for its expected completion date by February 2025, says Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

According to a TVS news broadcast on July 21, Uggah said that although the team encountered some challenges during the implementation of the project, they managed to resolve them.

“The contractor and the Works Ministry have done a good job. This project is a source of pride for Sarawak, and we are confident it will be completed by February 2025,” he said.

He said this to TVS during a working visit to the Bintulu-Jepak Bridge construction site on July 21.

Meanwhile, regarding the Sebauh Bridge project, Uggah, who is also the Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development Sarawak, said that it is now at 20 per cent completion.

He elaborated that the project, which was previously categorised as ‘sick’, is expected to be completed according to schedule following the appointment of a rescue contractor. — DayakDaily
