KUCHING, July 21: The Bintulu International Marathon (BIM) 2023 will be extending its normal price registration fee to July 30.
Bintulu International Marathon 2023 race director Ngo Sie Haw in a statement today said as one of Malaysia’s most prestigious long-distance races will be held on Aug 6.
“It’s set to bring together avid runners, athletes, and fitness enthusiasts from around the world to experience the landscape of Bintulu, and the organiser’s goal is to have 4,500 people participate in the event,” he said.
According to Ngo, the race will feature four categories, including the Full Marathon (42.195km), Half Marathon (21km), 10km, and a 6km Fun Run, ensuring there is a challenge suitable for runners of all abilities.
The registration fee for Full Marathon is RM140, Half Marathon is RM120, 10km is RM100 and 6km is RM60.
“Runners for all categories will get a running shirt and finisher medal, while the top 200 runners of the full marathon will receive finisher shirts.
“The first 500 participants of the Full Marathon and Half Marathon who have signed up for the BIM2023, Kuching Marathon 2023 (KM2023) and Miri Marathon 2024 (MM24) will also be entitled to a special designed pre-event tee,” he added.
The event is jointly organised by the Bintulu Development Authority (BDA), Pejabat Residen, Sarawak Ministry of Tourism, Creative Arts and Performance (MTCP) and Wynn Wynn Enterprise (WWE).
