Bintulu house razed by fire, occupants unhurt

The fire completely destroyed the house.

KUCHING, Nov 22: A house in Kampung Sungai Plan, along the Bintulu coastal road, was destroyed in a fire earlier this evening.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre in a statement disclosed it received the alert regarding the incident at 7.38pm.

“The wooden house, which was occupied by three people (two adult and one children) was completely destroyed in the incident. However, no casualties were reported,” the statement read.

Firefighters are seen hosing water over the smoldering embers.

A team of 26 firefighters led by Bomba Bintulu chief TPgB I Cristus Buson was deployed to the location, together with Bomba senior officer PpgB Hambali Mohammad and PpgB Nur Muhd Syukri Awang.

The firefighters extinguished the fire. The operation was officially ended at 8.35pm before the firefighters returned to their station. — DayakDaily
