KUCHING, Sept 6: More than 60 big bikers have registered to participate in this year’s Serian Malaysia Day Ride 2018 to be held in conjunction with the 55th Malaysia Day on Sept 16, said Serian MP Dato Sri Richard Riot Jaem.
He said the main objective of the event is to celebrate Malaysia Day.
“Besides celebrating Malaysia Day, we also hope that the programme will encourage participants to view and appreciate development which has taken place not only in Serian Town but in the surrounding villages.
“Besides that, it will also create esprit-de-corps among participants as it is open to all residents of Serian Division irrespective of their political ideology and political affiliation,” Riot said in a statement here today.
He said the route will start from Serian Stadium and with head to the Tebedu CIQ before the convoy will make a pit stop at the Dato Sri Richard Riot mini resort at Kampung Piching before proceeding back to Serian.
Riot, who is a former Federal Minister of Human Resources said the response has been overwhelming. — DayakDaily
