KUCHING, Sept 10: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi received a courtesy call from Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak) delegation today.
According to a press release, BESarawak delegation was led by its chairman Dato Sri Abang Abdul Karim Tun Openg.
The visit was aimed at informing Wan Junaidi and Fauziah on the roles of BESarawak which was formerly known as Sarawak Convention Bureau.
The delegation included BESarawak Board of Directors (BOD) members Prof Jugdutt (Jack) Singh, Associate Prof Dr Margaret Chan Kit Yok and Dzulkornain Masron, as well as BESarawak chief executive officer Amelia Roziman.
On the same day, Wan Junaidi also received another courtesy call from Para Sukma XXI Sarawak 2024 Committee led by Sarawak Minister of Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development (KPWK) Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah who is the committee’s chairperson.
The visit was to invite Wan Junaidi as the guest-of-honour to officiate the Para Sukma XXI Sarawak 2024 opening ceremony.
Joining the delegation were Sarawak Deputy Minister of Women and Childhood Development, Dato Rosey Yunus; Deputy Minister of Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam; and KPWK permanent secretary Datuk Felicia Tan Yan Hua. — DayakDaily
