MIRI, Feb 14: A five-tonne lorry driver was on his way to his workplace at about 9.25am today when he spotted something clinging onto a 20-feet telecommunication tower near the Senadin traffic light junction.
He stopped his vehicle to take a closer look and discovered that it was a Bengal Slow Loris.
The 51-year-old driver figured the creature was having problems climbing down from the tower, so he alerted the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) for assistance.
Three APM personnel promptly arrived at the scene, and it took them less than 20 minutes to rescue the animal and release it into a nearby jungle. — DayakDaily
