MIRI, Feb 14: A 29-year-old man was caught red-handed when he was spotted climbing down from the fence of a house in Jalan Dato Permaisuri 3E/3F Desa Indah 2 shortly after midnight today.
Inside his sling bag was a rabbit, which was reared at the back of the house he had just burgled.
When a neighbour saw the suspect climbing down from the fence, he immediately shouted for help, and about five individuals responded to help make a citizen’s arrest.
No one was injured in the incident that woke up the whole neighbourhood.
Police arrived shortly after they were alerted of the incident.
The suspect has been remanded for four days until Feb 17. — DayakDaily
