KUCHING, May 22: Following the successful release of their NFT (non-fungible token) collections under Miss Tourism International (MTI) earlier today, the beauty queens enjoyed a a sunset cruise dinner by Sarawak River Cruise.

Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts, and Culture Datuk Sebastian Ting welcomed the beauty queens to Kuching and praised YAST Group founder and chairwoman Esther Law for organising the sunset cruise dinner for the beauty queens as part of the MTI 2022 final event, as well as D’Touch International founder and president Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi on launching the MTI NFT platform this afternoon at Raia Hotel & Convention Centre.

“I’d like to extend a warm welcome to the reigning queens from around the world who are launching their own NFT collections here.

“The MTI World Final was first held in Kuching, Sarawak in 1994, and after a long 25 years, the event will be brought back to Kuching, which I believe will be one of the most meaningful and important events of the year.

“This event is something to be proud of and should be celebrated, as it was essential to introduce the 25th MTI World Final pageant contestant to Sarawak through a series of events,” Ting stated.

He went on to say that Sarawak as the event’s host and the Ministry of Tourism Sarawak will undoubtedly provide strong support to the organising committee team.

“As a great team and host, we will also actively provide the warmest hospitality to 55-60 beauty queens from all over the world, to ensure that all participants bring back fond memories of their time in Kuching to share with fellow countrymen, thereby promoting Sarawak to their respective countries,” he added.
