KUCHING, May 24: The organising committee of the 25th Miss Tourism International (MTI) 2022 World Final and pageant contestants paid a courtesy visit to Deputy Premier of Sarawak Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia today.
According to a press statement, Dr Sim welcomed the visitors and congratulated Sarawak’s YAST Group for obtaining the rights to host this event, enabling Sarawak to host this world-renowned event.
He shared the future development trend of Sarawak, especially moving towards becoming a well-developed region by 2030, through a well-planned strategic implementation modelling after some of the world’s most advanced countries.
The Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government also showed the visitors how recycling can achieve effective resource usage and sustainability through simple ideas without spending much.
The 25th Miss Tourism International 2022 World Final, which will be held in Kuching for 18 days from Nov 10 to 27 this year, will host a series of promotional activities.
The grand finale is scheduled to be held at the Raia Hotel & Convention Centre in Kuching.
In the effort to ‘Bring the World to Sarawak’, the organising committee team of the MTl 2022 World Final welcomes all to be part of this global event.
Participating MTI contestants will engage in a series of activities during the 18-day event, namely promotional activities, tourism site visits, charity programmes, photography, and filming of Sarawak tourist attractions. — DayakDaily
