KUCHING, May 31: A local man and three foreigners from Indonesia were arrested by the police for allegedly gambling at a house located at Jalan Mas, Bau last night.
A Bau District Police (IPD) Crime Investigation Department team raided the premises at around 8pm as the four suspects were playing ‘holo’ in the house.
According to IPD Bau chief DSP Poge Nyaon, ‘Holo’ paraphernalia and cash were confiscated during the raid. The four suspects were also arrested and brought to Bau Police Station for investigation.
“The four suspects will be investigated under Sec 7(2) of the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953 and Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 2020,” Poge added.
The three suspects from Indonesia will also be investigated under Sec 15(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1963. — DayakDaily
