KUCHING, Aug 1: A 28-year-old suspect has been charged in relation to the Bau luggage bag murder case.
Chong Kong Liang was charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries a mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
Officer Nelson Ensit prosecuted while the accused is unrepresented by counsel.
High Court Senior Assistant Registrar Nuraini Ahmad who is sitting as Magistrate at Bau ordered the accused to be further remanded in prison.
Earlier today, a 55-year-old female suspect in the same case was released on RM5,000 bail with one surety. — DayakDaily
