Bomba personnel from the Bau fire station, led by Zainudin Ngatdemon, arrived at the scene at 7:36pm, but their progress was hindered by floodwaters and the collapsed bridge at Kampung Tringgus Bong.

“Upon arrival, our team was unable to access the collapsed bridge due to one-foot-deep floodwaters that inundated Kampung Tringgus Nguan, Kampung Tringgus Rabak Rotan, and Kampung Tringgus Bong,” Bomba reported.

Despite the challenges, they managed to secure the affected areas, and by 10.30pm, operations were successfully concluded as floodwaters fully receded.

No casualties were reported, and no evacuation centres were opened.

However, affected families were temporarily relocated to the community hall in Kampung Tringgus Bong for shelter.

A total of 38 families, comprising 155 individuals, were evacuated due to the flash flood. This included residents from Kampung Tringgus Matan Nguan (8 families), Kampung Tringgus Rabak Rotan (24 families), and Kampung Tringgus Bong (6 families). – DayakDaily
