KUCHING, July 20: Batu Kawah assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Sim Hui Kian has revealed upgrading projects on Batu Kawah’s drainage system currently being undertaken cost RM1.07 million.
“Batu Kawah Taman Desa Wira is currently having upgrading projects on its drainage system at Lorong 10A and Lorong 5B that will cost RM770,000 and RM300,000 respectively.
“All these (upgrades) are under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP),” he said when visiting the drainage system project sites.
Dr Sim, who is also Minister of Local Government and Housing, said that the two open tendered projects were managed by Padawan Municipal Council (PMC).
“The upgrade of infrastructure at Batu Kawah area will continue in order to benefit the residents there,” he reiterated. —DayakDaily
