MIRI, April 15: Badan Amal Tarbiah Aman Sejagat (Batas) Miri branch today lodged a police report against the ‘Sabah-Sarawak Merdeka’ Facebook account administrator for allegedly uploading an offensive photo of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

Led by its chairman, Mohd Juhar Shariff, they arrived at Miri Central police station (CPS) at 1.45pm. Juhar was accompanied by 15 of his members.

Yesterday, two non-governmental organisations (NGOs) here had also lodged similar reports, one at the Lutong police station and another at Miri CPS.

“We urge the relevant authority to investigate this Facebook account holder as the act insults the ruler of this country,” Juhar said when met outside the police station.

He also urged the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to immediately track down the owner of the account. — DayakDaily
