KUCHING, July 24: Ba Kelalan assemblyman Baru Bian is seeking to defend his seat for the third term in the upcoming 12th state election (PRN12) as he expects a four-cornered fight.

Therefore, he urged Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) party leaders to start planning their strategies for this fight which include identifying present voters as well as getting 18-year-olds registered by collecting their data and contact numbers.

“Without enough number of voters, it’s impossible to have an efficient and strong government. This is clearly proven at the federal level,” said Baru in a press statement today.

On a related issue, he also advised PSB committee members to explain to the people about the party’s mission and objectives on executing more developments and infrastructures to uplift the people’s living standards on top of a better economy.

“Outline (to the people) what we have done. There are many more that we can do should we given the chance.

“Whether or not I’m in the government, I would pursue what I promised for the betterment of the people and communities at large,” he added. —DayakDaily
