KUCHING, May 1: Don’t forget the poor, disabled, orphans, single mothers, and senior citizens who need help during this Aidilfitri celebration, says Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.

He said the joy of the festive season should be reflected in the faces of all, regardless of ranks and positions.

Meanwhile, Awang Tengah urged all Muslims who are taking the opportunity to return to their hometowns for the holidays to comply with the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).

“Although flexibility has been given in this aspect of the Aidilfitri celebration, I would like to emphasise that we have yet to win the war against Covid-19. Therefore, I want to remind everyone to adhere to the relative SOPs.

“May we all continue to remain united, enjoy the peace and may we always be safe and under the protection of Allah S.W.T.,” he said in his Hari Raya Aidilfitri wishes today.

On the third day of Raya, Awang Tengah will have an open house at Hotel Seri Malaysia in Lawas from 9am to 4pm. — DayakDaily
