KUCHING, July 26: Australia’s Latrobe Magnesium has selected Sarawak to establish its low carbon emission magnesium plant valued at RM3 billion at Samalaju Industrial Park in Bintulu.
The Australian firm’s chief executive officer (CEO) David Peterson conveyed this investment decision during a courtesy call on Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan today.
According to a press statement, the proposed project aims to produce 100,000 tonnes of magnesium annually.
