Association wants ‘Adet Ethnic Kajang Sarawak’ book to be released

KUCHING, April 6: The Sarawak Kajang Ethnic Community Association (PKEKS) has urged the Sarawak Native Customs and Traditions Council (MAIS) to release its ‘Adet Ethnic Kajang Sarawak’ book.

PKEKS special advisor Jay Jonoi Surai emphasised that it is high time for MAIS to officially release the book.

“We are made to understand that the process has reached the final stage, and the book is ready for official release now,” he said in a statement today.

Jay also took the opportunity to congratulate and welcome the reappointment of Bidah Lujah as the Belaga District Officer.

“She is the first Orang Ulu woman to become district officer.

“(We believe) she will steer Belaga District forward with greater progress, while empowering the women and community,” he added. — DayakDaily
