KUCHING, Feb 19: Three men armed with machetes robbed two men in a double-storey house in Taman Desa Paul, Jalan Penrissen near here, of jewellery and cash worth about RM3,200 on Friday (Feb 17).

District Police Chief Supt Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the incident was reported to have happened around 2am.

The victims were sleeping upstairs when the suspects’ presence woke them up.

“The suspects ordered the two victims to leave their bedrooms and proceeded to tie the victims’ hands and feet using phone charger wires,” said Abang Zainal Abidin in a statement on Feb 17.

He added that the suspects then fled the house at around 4am. Both victims managed to untie themselves and filed a police report.

The investigation revealed that the suspects were believed to have entered and exited the house through a room on the ground floor after cutting off the window grill bars. — DayakDaily
