KUCHING, Oct 2: Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Satok Branch and SUPP Pending Branch will jointly organise the Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) free registration at St Faith’s Kindergarten located at Jalan Chawan, Kenyalang Park, here on Oct 7.
According to a press release today, the registration counter will open from 8.30am until 12.30pm in conjunction with St Faith’s Church Tamu, which will be happening on the same day from 7am to 12pm.
Senior citizens who are 60 years old and above with a ‘K’ identity card or are Sarawak permanent residents are eligible and welcome to apply for the KGC.
KGC holders enjoy various rebates and discounts on daily essentials from their strategic partners throughout Sarawak. Discounted essentials include food, groceries, health services, optical services, transportation, and retail.
KGC holders are also entitled to Death Compassionate Assistance of RM3,000. This benefit only applies to cardholders who are not government pensioners and Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) contributors and are not receiving similar help from any department or agency. — DayakDaily
