KUCHING, April 23: Stamping application for individual documents can be submitted through Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia’s (HASiL) Stamp Assessment And Payment System (Stamps) online portal from April 27, 2022.
HASiL, in a statement today, said Malaysian citizens and permanent residents who have an Income Tax Number can register for a Stamps user ID, assessment application and stamp duty payment through the Stamps portal at https://stamps.hasil.gov.my without having to go to the stamp duty counter.
The Stamp Certificate which is issued electronically needs to be downloaded and printed after successful payment has been made to be attached to the original agreement as proof that stamp duty has been paid.
“Individuals who are citizens and permanent residents who do not have an Income Tax Number as well as individuals other than citizens and non-permanent residents must appear at any stamp duty counter after filling in the stamping information on the Stamps portal under the ‘Stamping of Personal Documents At The Counter’ option,” it said.
Registration of individual Income Tax Number can be made through e-Register at https://edaftar.hasil.gov.my.
