APM lorry helps 7 SPM students reach exam centre amid flooded road

SIBU, Jan 13: Seven students sitting for their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations were sent to school using a Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) lorry as the road to their school was flooded.

According to a Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) spokesperson, the students were sent to SMK Kwong Hua, Sungai Bidut, at 7am today.

In addition to the students, the lorry also carried two teachers and three examination invigilators.

ā€œThe operation went smoothly and all teachers and students arrived safely at the school at 7.30am,ā€ said the spokesperson in a statement.

Other agencies involved in the operation were the Malaysian Armed Forces and the Sibu District Education Office. ā€” DayakDaily
