KUCHING, Feb 18: The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today reported that two healthcare workers were tested positive for Covid-19.
According to SDMC in a press statement today, the two cases were reported in Sibu and Betong health facilities.
The additional two cases today brings the total cumulative numbers of healthcare workers who were tested positive for coronavirus in the state to 190 cases.
Previously, a total of 188 medical staff were recorded to have been infected with Covid-19 as of Feb 16, 2021.
Meanwhile on Feb 9, the State Health director Dr. Chin Zin Hing revealed that 162 cases were identified among healthcare workers between Jan and Feb this year, and another four cases were reported on Feb 9, bringing the tally to 166.
The following day (Feb 10), three more medical personnel were reported to be infected with Covid-19,
The number of cases continues to increase daily, four cases reported on Feb 13, one case on Feb 14, and another eight cases on Feb 18. – DayakDaily.
