KUCHING, April 3: Angkatan Zaman Mansang (Azam) is poised for a significant transformation in how it executes its projects following invaluable guidance from Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
Azam chairman Datu William Patrick Nyigor highlighted this in welcoming the suggestions by Abang Johari, especially on the organisation’s direction and strategies, after paying a courtesy call on the latter at Wisma Bapa Malaysia today.
“We have briefed the Premier on Azam’s activities and direction, and we have received impactful and constructive suggestions from the Premier.
“We intend to refine Azam’s direction, methods, and approaches for future projects and operations in line with the counsel received,” he said in a news report by TVS today.
Emphasising Azam’s role as a non-governmental organisation (NGO) serving as an information conduit for Sarawak’s developments, Nyigor reiterated: “We are dedicated to disseminating information and engaging communities across various developmental stages and State planning processes. This is achieved through platforms such as social media and other channels.”
Underscoring the importance of community involvement, he stated that Azam’s approaches involve active engagement with communities, not only in terms of communication but also in fostering participation in their endeavours. — DayakDaily
