KUCHING, Feb 11: The only son of International Trade and E-commerce Minister Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh, Datuk Andrew Wong, 43, passed away last night.
This has been confirmed by the police while the cause of death has yet to be determined.
Andrew stood to contest in Sibu constituency during the last general election in a three-cornered fight.
Despite garnering 22,389 votes, he was defeated by DAP’s Oscar Ling who garnered 33,811 votes while Priscilla Lau of Peace Party polled 628 votes.
Andrew was also the former deputy chairman of Sibu Municipal Council. — DayakDaily
