KUCHING, Apr 16: An employee of RHB Bank Yung Kong branch has tested positive for novel coronavirus (Covid-19).
RHB Bank in a statement said the affected employee went to conduct the Covid-19 screening on April 13 and the results was made known on April 15.
The bank disclosed that the affected employee has been away from the branch since March 12 and has been under home quarantine since March 21.
At the same time, RHB Bank revealed that the branch has been temporarily closed from March 23 and will remain closed until the end of the period of the Movement Control Order (MCO).
On another note, RHB Bank said deep cleaning and sanitisation activities of the branch had been carried out in accordance with Ministry of Health’s guidelines.
As an added precaution, RHB Bank asserted that employees who had came into close contact with the affected person have been placed on home-quarantine.
“We have taken all necessary precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers, employees and the community,” the bank said in a statement.—DayakDaily
